Ship Specials
Introducing Ship Specials: Each ship comes with an extra special - a unique ability for each ship type.Â
Changes:
Each ship now has a unique special ability, in addition to their item-equippable special slot
Support Ship special now increases healing done, depending on rarity
Shield Boost special now has a larger barrier shield and covers more area
Shield Boost special blocks beams from the beam strike hazard
Shield Boost blocks torpedo splash damage
Stellar Beam special now destroys enemy missiles and torpedoes
Radiation clouds does less damage over time
Debris now impacts armor instead of shields
Player pulsed laser beam damage increased slightly
If the death heal debuff is active during chain missions, destroying mines no longer triggers it
Added more items & higher chance of rare items to the shop
Fixes:
Improved chain mission stability & fixed crashes
MTU boss ship stops firing as it crashes and explodes
Resolved issue where blueprint purchases in the store were unintentionally more expensive than displayed
Beam weapons will be locked forward properly when the locked turrets debuff is active
Koala - Bullet Blitz
Once every 45 seconds, the Koala can increase all its equipped weapon's fire rates by 50% for 10 seconds.
raven - Cloak
Once every 45 seconds, the Raven can activate its cloaking field, rendering it invisible. While cloaked, the raven cannot fire any weapons, but enemies are unable to target it. All enemies cease fire until their target is found. This effect lasts for 10 seconds.
Red Runner - Bulldozer
Once every 45 seconds the Red Runner can become impervious to collision damage - please note the ship is still vulnerable to all weapons fire. This effect lasts 10 seconds.
Manta - Shield Shatter
Once every 45 seconds, the Manta can emit a continuous EMP field that instantly disables enemy shields. This field lasts 15 seconds.
halberd - Electronic warfare
Once every 45 seconds the Halberd can activate its Electronic Warfare suite which feeds false radar signatures to enemy missiles and turrets, causing them to redirect at other enemies. This effect will redirect turrets and missiles for 15 seconds.
Raptor - Salvo Surge
Once every 45 seconds, the Raptor can unleash a salvo of different missiles, rockets, and heatseekers, blasting away its foes.
arrow star - lightening field
Every 45 seconds the Arrow Star can deploy a lightening field around the ship that destroys incoming missiles and mines. Enemy light fighters take some damage from the field, but larger enemies resist the field. This effect occurs over 10 seconds.
killer bee - minelayer
Every 45 seconds, the Killer Bee can deploy a small minefield with a mix of homing and non-homing mines. The mines last 15 seconds before detonating.
turtle - Emergency shields
Once every 45 seconds, the Turtle can rapid recharge its shields continuously for 10 seconds. The effect persists even when taking on enemy fire. Shield recharge rate is still defined by equipped shields.
punisher- turbo turret
Every 45 seconds, the Punisher can direct all energy reserves to maximize firepower on any weapon equipped in the main turret, increasing fire rate by 75%, damage by 50% for 10 seconds.
